“Thor of the Prairie” was drawn in 2024 using charcoal, tinted charcoal and a few pastels on a 30×24-inch canvas. Thor was a well-known wild stallion and band leader at McCullough Peaks HMA in Wyoming. Although he passed away in 2024, his unique patterning, strength, and wild beauty made him an icon of what is still wild and beautiful about the American West.
